Private Physiotherapy in Birmingham Designed Around You
At Bluebell Hydrotherapy & Physiotherapy, we provide specialist physiotherapy in Birmingham for patients who require more than standard treatment. Our service is designed for people who need structured rehabilitation, clear clinical guidance and a safe, supportive environment to recover well.
Many of our patients come to us after:
- Limited progress elsewhere
- Complex or long-term conditions
- Surgery or injury requiring structured rehabilitation
- Loss of confidence in movement
Our approach is different. We take time to assess the full picture and, where appropriate, combine physiotherapy with hydrotherapy, home visit physiotherapy or online physiotherapy consultations depending on the patient’s needs.
We focus on:
- Understanding the full picture of your condition
- Delivering structured and progressive treatment
- Supporting recovery in a safe and controlled environment
This ensures that each patient receives care that is tailored, appropriate and effective. Whether you need help with back pain and sciatica, chronic pain, arthritis or post-surgical rehabilitation, our physiotherapy service is designed around your recovery goals.

What Makes Our Physiotherapy Different
Physiotherapy is not just about exercises — it is about delivering the right treatment, at the right time, in the right way.
Assessment-Led Treatment
Every patient begins with a detailed assessment.
We take time to understand:
- Your symptoms and history
- Movement limitations
- Functional challenges
- Previous treatment outcomes
This allows us to create a personalised treatment plan based on your specific needs. In some cases, we may also recommend related support such as acupuncture, sports massage or hydrotherapy to complement rehabilitation.
Structured Rehabilitation Programmes
We do not offer generic treatment plans.
Instead, we provide structured rehabilitation programmes that:
- Progress gradually
- Are adapted based on your response
- Focus on long-term improvement
This is particularly important for patients with:
A Safe and Controlled Environment
Safety is central to everything we do.
We ensure:
- Appropriate supervision
- Careful progression of exercises
- Clear communication at every stage
This is especially important for patients who may feel unsure or anxious about movement. Where clinic attendance is difficult, we may also advise on home visits or online consultations.

We guide patients through each stage of recovery, ensuring that progress is consistent and sustainable. Related support may include post-surgical hydrotherapy, post-surgical physiotherapy and spinal surgery rehabilitation depending on the case.
Combining Physiotherapy with Hydrotherapy
One of the key advantages of Bluebell is our ability to integrate physiotherapy with hydrotherapy.
Why This Matters

- Easier movement
- Safer early rehabilitation
This combination is particularly effective for:
- Post-surgical patients

Can I refer myself to Bluebell? Do you accept charity funding? Do you accept private medical insurance?
Yes, we accept referrals from a wide range of sources. Bluebell Hydro and Physio receive referrals from doctors, but we also accept self-referrals, family referrals, carers, solicitors, case managers, rehabilitation companies and consultants.
How soon can I have a physiotherapy appointment?
Bluebell Hydro and Physio have no waiting lists. We are normally able to arrange an assessment within 24–72 hours and can often provide same-day appointments.
What should I wear? What should I bring with me to the hydrotherapy assessment?
Suitable clothing depends on the nature of your condition. It is likely that you will be required to undress to some degree to allow your physiotherapist to assess and treat your problem. Loose clothing should be worn for the initial assessment. If your treatment includes hydrotherapy, you will need swimwear (waterproof if needed) and two towels.
To get the maximum benefit from your initial assessment you should bring with you:
- Suitable clothing
- Relevant medical reports or letters
- Relevant scan or x-ray reports
- A relative if your memory is reduced
- Any supports, braces or orthotics you use
- Your running shoes if your condition is running related
- A carer or family member to assist with dressing and transfers after assessment if needed
Will I receive treatment on my first visit?
If booked as a combined initial assessment and first treatment session, treatment is usually provided on the first visit and you will generally be advised of things to complete before your next session. With very complex cases treatment may not begin at the first visit, but wherever possible treatment will be provided on day one.
